Power Plug-In (Energy Scienomic, $21.95) is a daring and controversial book which takes a very cold clear look at the impact current energy sources have had on our world and offers educated analysis and recommendations for future investment in global energy development and research. Energy dependence is destroying our world. That’s the problem. Energy independence can save it. That’s the solution. Gordon E. Ettie is an expert in both energy and investments who has spent his entire career in the energy industry first as an engineer, then as a CEO and finally as a major financial player and investor examines each energy source and offers his educated analysis and recommendations for future investment in global energy development and research for both individual and organizational investors. This is an energy book that will make a difference.

” Very interesting book. I really liked it because it was simple to read and easy to understand with clear and concise information for the general public as for a savvy investor. I strongly recommend it to anyone willing to have an overall view of energy sources and the investment opportunities that it represents ”

I read in the book Power Plug-In that the author was going to fund scholarships with some of the proceeds of the sale of his book to help students studying our planet’s energy sources. I think this is a good thing and I commend him for it.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I saw the title of this book, but what I got out of reading it was a detailed comparison of our energy sources, both renewable and not. And this information, clear and complete, is invaluable in understanding the important discussions going on today and that will continue to be going on for decades to come. This is an important tool for anyone interested in better understanding our energy choices and the direction our country will –and should — be taking.

Informative Guidebook

Power Plug-In is a really informative guidebook, for investors looking for the best energy investments today and into the future. The book outlines every possible energy source such as oil, natural gas, biofuels, solar, wind, nuclear and more and after a comprehensive analysis of each one makes investment recommendations based on the information presented. For example when the author talks about investing in coal for example he says, “Coal is one of the most widely abundant energy sources but one of the dirtiest. Coal will be used less and less by developed countries but more and more by less developed countries like China and India. Coal is not good for a long-term investment. There might be an opportunity for a short-term investment in a well-managed company that supplies coal to China or India.”
