2. Only then can you see that this is a global issue not just a United States issue.
3. The United States can lead the world to show them organizationally and technically how to change from using hydrocarbons for energy to something else. The summary of this book will give these solutions.
4. We have an existing large energy infrastructure that has to change and this will take time and good enforceable global regulations. (20 to 30 years)
5. Current political time frame to get elected is 2 to 4 years, much shorter than the 20 to 30 years that is required to develop a better energy system. Changing has to be outside the political system. The political system can’t choose or develop what energy system we will use for the long term particularly because it is a global issue not just a U.S. issue.
The answer is not what everyone and the government is preaching now about renewables which only represent 2 to 3% of the worlds total energy needs. This preaching could not possibility answer the world’s energy needs particularly with the economic growth forecasted for China and India. These developing countries just can’t afford the renewables that we are talking about now. The United States can come up with a better solution with the help of this book. Remember what Darwin’s book On the Origin of Species did to the world’s thinking!
